Fifty-three kittens were flown from Alabama to Minnesota this past weekend hoping to find forever homes.

They were some of 300 kittens displaced when Hurricane Michael collapsed the shelter they were cared for in Alabama. In need of a safe place to stay, they were flown to Minnesota free of charge by Wings of Rescue.

According to Fox9, the kittens will be processed quickly receiving shots, veterinary and behavioral exams and being spayed and neutered before going up for adoption.

Check the Animal Humane Society website if you're interested in adopting.

Not so kitten-like is 15-year old Haven, who's looking for a place to spend her golden years.
