5 Ways I’m Getting My “Man Card” Back and 5 Ways I’m Losing It [PHOTOS]

Moving to Minnesota may be the best thing that ever happened to me.  I'm doing more things people would consider "manly" vs "metro."  For example, I just bought a brand new 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab from Brandl Motors in Little Falls.  I was always the guy that drove a BMW or most recently a Dodge Caravan.  Not that there's anything wrong with that, but nobody would have ever put me in a truck!  A truck!  Never in a million years.

Here are the 5 Ways I'm Getting My "Man Card" Back...

1)  I hang with a guy who looks like this...

2) I can say I fished in one of the 10,000 lakes in Minnesota...

3) I got to hang out with the rock / metal band "Pop Evil"...

4) I did some 4 Wheelin' up north...

5) I was a Volunteer Firefighter, most recently with St. Stephen Fire & Rescue...

So just as I start to get my "Man Card" back in the eyes of my friends and family, I do these 5 things and it all seems to disappear.

1) Let my wife talk me into wearing a shirt like this...

2) Put frosted tips in my hair for a recent concert...

3) Take my family to another boy-band concert...

4) Take a selfie with Bret Michaels...

5) I hang out with guys who look like this...

Other examples include watching Sons of Anarchy every Tuesday night without fail but still watching the Real Housewives of New Jersey every Sunday.  Watching College Football on Saturday's but making sure I don't miss an episode of Dancing with the Stars every Monday night.  I'm either confused or just have to except I'm ment to be a mixture of man and metro for the rest of my life...and you know what...I'm cool with that!
